Mom series

My mom was close to the veil. In Mormon terms it means between earth and heaven. I wanted to make a painting about her by a curtain with faces coming from the veil. Instead I decided to have her wear the curtain. She wore her spirituality around her all the time.

Squashed Babies series

This picture is for 12th anniversary show of Practical Art it's called Squashed Babies 12x12
Our mom had 6 kids. The fifth and sixth were my twin and me. Everyone came out normal. We inherited mental illness like bipolar and ocd. One of our theories is that mom pushed too hard in the womb.
