There is no female Jabba the Hutt series

These works are called "There is no Female Jabba the Hut." In sci fi there are always really good looking woman like Tricia Helfer and even Rebecca Romijn in the blue suit. I wanted to paint less prettier heroines.

Zeus of the Grotto 1, 30X30, Acrylic on canvas

I learned about the meaning of the word grotesque. It is art in caves or similar that is scaring and gruesome. I am fascinated with the art of David Gilhooly who has food with leaves. I have chef boyardee noodles in a cave like backdrop with interwined leaf motifs.A God for me can be a scary concept. I think of this character like a manic Zeus.

Wild Child series

Growing up as a teenager, I always felt I wasn't the ideal Mormon. I wasn't smily or perky. I was an angry teenager who read too much Bukowski. Nevertheless I still was a good kid. To this day, I am a little rough around the edges. This series is inspired by the French film The Wild Child.
