SMI3 At 25 I was labelled SMI (term meaning seriously mentally ill) it's a term meaning your mental illness affects your functioning on an everyday basis. It's also used for insurance basis. A lot of mental health clinics have tons of desert crap. I see so many cactuses it's really annoying. This will be a series.

Destroyer, triptych I'm 38 approaching the age where I realize I may not be a mother. I really don't have any interest. There is still the fear of motherhood. Kind of like Goya's Saturn devouring his children. A fear you could destroy. The little people are based on a photograph of my sister Beth who would probably look like a kid of mine. I was getting rid of a table. I moved it by the painting. People at the studio remarked it looked better with the table. I agree. It felt more complete
